Spider Vein Treatment

We offer Spider Vein Treatment (SVT) at the Practice.

spider-veins-05Medical doctors do not regard spider veins as life threatening, and therefore most people do not have their spider veins treated, but because spider veins are unsightly, they do affect the person’s self esteem and therefore one could reason that spider veins do have a significant affect on one’s life.

Individuals who are more concerned about their physical appearance, however, have had the option of sclero-therapy (Injection of a solution into the vein) in the past and more recently laser treatment. Both these treatments have limitations and undesirable side effects and therefore alternative treatments were researched and developed.

Swiss and German medical equipment engineers and doctors developed a white light coagulator that produces pulsed light beams. The intense light advances several millimeters into the (bleeding) tissue, where it is absorbed and turned into heat. The heat results in the coagulation of the rupture veins.

equipmentThis is a non-invasive procedure and less painful than other treatments available. The procedure is simple, quick, and treated persons can immediately after coagulation continue with their activities without any restriction or discomfort.

Herbal homeopathic products were developed to enhance the results of the coagulation and to shorten the healing time of the treated area. The products compliment the procedure, offering the person with spider veins a comprehensive treatment.
